CelebNPolitics247.com reports on Wednesday night, the Pacific Northwest Youth Liberation Front named the area the “Patrick Kimmons Autonomous Zone.
It was named after Patrick K. Kimmons, a black man who was shot and killed by Portland police officers in 2018.
Demonstrators established an autonomous zone outside what they believe is Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler’s apartment Thursday morning.
Of course, Portland police officers moved in quickly and tore down the barrier.
One protester was arrested, and police have instructed homeowners and residents of the area to remain inside while they reestablish footing in the area.
PPB is declaring a civil disturbance and unlawful assembly from NW 11th east to NW Park Ave and NW Irving south to NW Everett St. If you do not live inside a dwelling in this area, leave immediately to the west. If you do not leave you are subject to arrest or use of force.

Demonstrators were angered by the Portland City Council’s decision on Wednesday to remove $16 million from the Portland Police Department. Protesters had hoped the city would pull back more than $50 million in funding for the city’s police department.
